Fantastic breakdown of the decision paralysis trap. The insight about teams not being unable but rather lacking clarity on direction is spot-on. The bottom-up OKR aproach where employees draft first is something most guides miss, but it builds waymore ownership than pure cascade. Worth experimenting with that sequence.

Yes, the bottom-up approach helps the leadership team verify everyone’s understanding of the company’s strategy and mission. However, if the resulting company OKRs deviate significantly from the next quarter’s targets of the leaders, the strategy and mission need clarification.
